Hello friends!

Here’s a little flag in the ground of cyberspace, a sandbox for thought, and an opportunity to share a few things I’ve learned in my journey through design, research, and complexity. It is also an extension of my independent research operation by the same name.

Some areas of inquiry include:

• Complexity theory for designers

• Research as a form of map-making

• Meta-processes for novel problems

• Interdisciplinarity as mental model arbitrage

• Generative methods for grounded strategy

• Tools for thought

Centrally, the writing here will revolve around novel problems, and how to approach them. Since we have no shortage of novel problems, I hope it can be a resource for you in thinking about, strategizing, understanding, addressing and perhaps even solving the novel problems ahead of you—as well as an opportunity for us to learn together.
